Women’s Leadership Ambassadors' Group

Volunteers with diverse backgrounds are collaborating to promote a positive work environment for women.

CPA Canada promotes a work environment within the accounting profession that supports the retention, promotion and advancement of women to positions of leadership without bias, unintended or otherwise, based on gender. We also provide tools, webinars and access to conferences to further the advancement of women in the profession.

CPA Canada’s Women’s Leadership Ambassadors’ Group was created to better assist women in the profession by providing grassroots support and input to CPA Canada’s projects and initiatives.

Our ambassadors' group has been active in:

  • identifying topics and speakers for the women’s global leadership summit
  • providing feedback on documents and ideas to CPA Canada
  • reaching out to their own networks to disseminate information

We currently have 29 ambassadors of all ages from across Canada, representing:

  • provincial bodies
  • academics
  • government
  • small business
  • professional services firms — both staff and partners
  • oil industry
  • marketing firms
  • employees of multinational conglomerates

This dynamic group is not currently recruiting for new members. For more information or any questions, email Karen McCardle, director, Research, Guidance and Support.
