CPA Canada is the national organization representing the Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) profession in Canada. The Opportunity Reporting to the Lead Principal, Performance Management and Sustainability, this position provides input and recommendations on the creation, development, delivery and ongoing refinement of a portfolio of innovative products, services and learning experiences that supports customers’ training development needs in the Not-for-Profit sector. This position will also aid in serving needs in the Performance Management area for both NFP and Business Industry sectors. The incumbent proactively leads the development and implementation of a strategy that maximizes members’ engagement by anticipating customers’ needs. In this role, responsibilities will include, but are not be limited to the following: Developing, maintaining and/or improving high quality professional learning and development offerings for a variety of topics within the Performance Management and Sustainability portfolio which consists of topics in both Not-for-Profit and Business industry (Not-for-Profit Accounting and Compliance, Strategy, Risk Management and Performance). Collaborating closely with colleagues in the Performance Management and Sustainability area within the MDS group, as well as other cross functional operating groups across CPA Canada; Developing partnerships with other stakeholders who have complementary interests within the product portfolio; In conjunction with the Lead Principal, leading and managing volunteer advisory committees, including chairing and facilitating meetings; Hosting and moderating online training events. In conjunction with the Lead Principal, oversee all aspects of program design and execution which includes: Working with portfolio leads to conduct needs assessment for members served by the portfolio; Manage end to end production and delivery of conferences and courses within the Performance Management and NFP area; Work closely with third parties and program developers such as subject matter experts and interactive e-learning specialists; Work closely with the Learning Design & Development team to assess and determine the most appropriate format for delivering products and bring innovative new delivery formats for our customers; Work closely with marketing team to ensure best possible reach and commercial success of products; Work closely with program managers to ensure programs are executed in a timely, professional and cost-effective way. The Candidate The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications and skills: Minimum 5 years of professional experience working in an Accounting, Finance or Operations related function CPA designation Highly developed business acumen Highly proactive and innovative Strong project management, analytical and technical skills Solid judgment and problem solving Exceptional and well-honed interpersonal, communication and collaboration skills Team player with ability to work with multiple internal groups and external stakeholders in fast-paced, high-energy environment Keen interest and awareness of recent and emerging trends in the profession Ability to manage multiple large projects/products Experience in adult education including development of educational programs is preferable Experience working in a Not-for Profit organization or serving on an NFP board is an asset Other matters This position is based in Burnaby CPA Canada offers a unique flexible and balanced working environment that allows individuals to maximize professional and personal development.
