CPA Canada is the national organization representing the Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) profession in Canada. The opportunity Reporting to the Accounts Receivable Supervisor, the Accounts Receivable Clerk is responsible for executing assigned tasks in the Accounts Receivable department, working within Aptify to ensure that invoicing and receipts of payments are processed accurately and in a timely manner. The Accounts Receivable Clerk will support department staff across the Finance and Legal team and the wider business to complete required tasks primarily utilizing the Aptify database. The clerk will provide support for issue investigation and resolution, respond to enquiries (written, email and telephone), delivering customer service excellence and adhering to proper processes and controls to mitigate errors and any negative impacts to the department and/or the organization. In this role, responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Execute payment processing activities as assigned, supporting daily work flow, problem resolution and progress towards key department objectives Work with the team to complete accurate order processing such as Knotia store orders, conference manual invoicing, and Finance billing. Work collaboratively with other members of the Finance team to trouble shoot and resolve issues as required Develop relationships with each of CPA Canada’s business units, working collaboratively with partners to support their needs Communicate regularly with business units, establishing rapport with key personnel, and acting as an effective bridge between Finance and the business units Coordinate and execute on the filing and archiving of various accounting/accounts receivable documents Review batches processed by members of the team to ensure accuracy of input and correct any issues Complete assigned work, providing updates on workload to leaders (ensuring outputs are handled within acceptable turnaround times), making recommendations for streamlining processes where possible Assist in the development of processes to streamline work efficiency and enhance quality and effectiveness, contributing to continuous improvement Participate in testing and implementing any new Aptify system upgrades and enhancements as required Adhere to CPA Canada policies and procedures The candidate The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience: 1 to 3 years’ experience providing customer service excellence in an Accounts Recievable role College level education with relevant studies preferred Strong organizational skills, solid judgement and problem-solving ability Proven ability to engage, connect and build strong relationships across multiple teams Communication and collaboration skills Exceptional attention to detail Thrive in a fast paced, on-time deliverable environment Team player with ability to work with multiple internal and external stakeholder groups Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications (Outlook, Excel, Word) Knowledge of Aptify is an asset Bilingual (English and French) is an asset Other matters This position is based in Toronto.
