CPA Canada’s CTC has provided the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) with feedback about user experiences with the GST registry collected from members of the CTC, their colleagues, and various individual businesses that use the registry on a regular basis. This October 17, 2011 letter with the collected comments about the registry was shared at the request of CRA following a meeting between the CTC and CRA’s Excise and GST/HST Rulings Directorate on May 26, 2011. The 12 comments in the letter identify multiple issues that may assist the CRA with its review of the effectiveness of the registry.
