Professional engagement guide (PEG) task force committee

This committee supports CPA Canada in the development of the Professional Engagement Guide (PEG). Learn more about its mission, key activities and contributions to public accounting.

The objective of the PEG Task Force Committee is to support CPA Canada by providing thought leadership, awareness and guidance through the delivery of the Professional Engagement Guide to assist small and medium-sized practices.

Through this work, CPA Canada:

  • acts in the public interest
  • supports our members
  • contributes to Canada's economic and social development

We provide strategic advice on the scope and future of PEG, as well as input on immediate and long-term priorities to help practitioners meet continuously evolving professional standards.

We assist CPA Canada in the improvement of resources for PEG, offering guidance on how to update existing content to best meet the needs of key stakeholders and members.

We share insights about the use of PEG in various courses and accounting software providers, and we assist in the development and delivery of the publication by networking and identifying the appropriate contacts.

The PEG Task Force Committee is comprised of professionals who have practical experience, expertise and interest in quality assurance and non-assurance engagement services for the public accounting profession. Members are from firms, regulatory bodies and academia.
