Terry LeBlanc, CPA Canada board member

Biography

Terry is the vice-chair of the CPA Canada Board of Directors, joining the board in December 2013, and having served as both a member (2013-2015) and vice-chair (2015-present).

After 33 years of service with the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA), Terry retired in 2010. Throughout his time at the CRA, he worked in Ottawa, Quebec and Atlantic Canada, holding several executive positions including assistant director investigations, assistant director audit, tax services office director, director intergovernmental relations (account executive for Atlantic Canada) and finally, special advisor to the assistant commissioner.

Terry has contributed many years of his professional life to the governance of the profession by serving on chapter boards in New Brunswick and many provincial and regional committees.

He served on the board of CGA-New Brunswick for 15 years, then as chair from 2001 to 2002. Terry also served a term on the CGA Maritime Region Student Services Inc. board. He then moved to the CGA-Canada board where he served for nine years on many national committees and twice chaired the CGA-Canada board, in 2009-10 and 2011-12. He then joined the CPA Canada board in 2013 and has served as vice-chair since 2015.
