As a member of the CPA Canada Board of Directors, Michel Théroux helps CPA Canada achieve our key objectives, and provides direction for governance and management.

Michel joined the CPA Canada Board of Directors in January 2013.

In 2012, he retired from his role as president of Jas. A. Ogilvy Inc., (1988-2012). Previous management positions include: director in the taxation department at Samson Bélair/Deloitte & Touche (1972-1980) and later partner (1980-1988), and president of Equidev Inc., (1988-1997).

Since 1984, Michel has been involved in the activities of the Ordre of Chartered Accounts of Quebec as a member or chair of several committees. The most recent include: chair of the Board of Directors for the Ordre of Chartered Accountants of Quebec (2005-2007), and member of the board for the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants (2010-2014).

Michel has also been an active participant in various professional organizations including:
  • the Canadian Tax Foundation
  • the Urban Development Institute
  • the Board of Trade of Metropolitan Montreal
