Education and qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Business Administration, Université du Québec à Rimouski, 1979
  • Certified Management Accountant, 1982
  • Fellow of The Society of Management Accountants of Canada, 2004

Biography

Jacques joined the CPA Canada Board of Directors in January 2013.

He was the former chief financial officer at the Canadian Space Agency (2009-2012) and has stayed on as a special advisor.

In 1979, Jacques began his career in the federal government and has since occupied various management positions. In addition to six years in the private sector, he successively held positions at Forestry Canada, the Receiver General for Canada and the Transportation Safety Board.

Jacques has been involved for more than 25 years at all levels of the Ordre des comptables en management accrédités du Québec, including chair of the board. Currently, he is a member of the following boards and committees:

  • CMA Canada National Board of Directors
  • CPA Canada Audit Committee
  • CMA Canada Due Diligence Committee
  • CPA Québec Comité de révision
  • CPA Québec Comité des relations gouvernementales
