Education and qualifications

With 34 years of accounting and business experience, Steve oversees the finance and accounting function at CPA Canada.

Steve joined the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants (CICA) in 1986 as an accounting supervisor, became assistant controller in 1987 and controller in 1995. Prior to joining CICA, Steve held a number of accounting positions at GEAC Computer and Beaver Lumber. He was appointed CFO of CPA Canada in January 2013.

Active in his community, Steve participates annually in the Ride to Conquer Cancer in Montreal to benefit the Segal Cancer Centre at the Jewish General Hospital, the Colon Cancer Walk in support of Colon Cancer Canada, and the CN Tower Climb to raise funds for the United Way of greater Toronto.
