Lou Ragagnin, BBA, CPA, CA

As the senior vice-president of Operations, Lou is responsible for providing strategic direction and cultivating organizational effectiveness at CPA Canada. Lou works to enhance coordination and collaboration across all departments, encourages continuous improvement all while fostering a high performing, constructive culture capable of adapting to growth and change. At CPA Canada, Lou has direct oversight of operational functions that include Finance, Legal, Administration (IT, Human Resources, Language Services and Office Services) and Member Services.

Lou began his career with KPMG, LLP in the audit and tax services area, where he also spent some time within the marketing department at the national level.

Prior to joining CPA Canada, Lou was chief operating officer at ole Media Management GP LP, president and chief operating officer for the 100th Grey Cup Game and Festival and the chief operating officer for the Canadian Olympic Committee.

Today, Lou sits on the board of directors at ParticipAction, serving as chair of its audit committee, as well as a member of the board of directors at the Canadian Sport Institute – Ontario, where he is also the treasurer and chair of the finance and audit committee.
