Lorraine Pitt, MBA, CDMP Education and qualifications: B.A in Business Administration and Languages, 1991 CAM certificate in Communications, Advertising and Marketing, 1996 MBA in Global Leadership, University of Fredericton (Sandermoen School of Business), 2015 Certified Digital Marketing Professional (CDMP), 2018 As part of the Marketing, Communications and Public Affairs department, Lorraine is responsible for providing strategic direction, leadership and operational oversight to the brand marketing, member communications and stakeholder engagement teams. Since joining CPA Canada in 2014, Lorraine has played a leading role in the development of the new CPA brand for the profession and the digital marketing strategy, and has provided strategic leadership to the marketing and creative services team. Previously, Lorraine served as vice-president, Public Affairs, of CGA-Canada, where she was a member of the senior executive team, responsible for branding, public relations, the national CGA Magazine and the organization’s web strategy. Prior to joining CGA-Canada, Lorraine was based in London, U.K. where for seven years she was head of business and technology for VISA Europe, and responsible for financial products, payment technologies, sponsorship communications and PR programs across more than 20 European markets. Before VISA, Lorraine worked at Hill & Knowlton Strategies, the global public relations and integrated communications agency, where she was a senior account director responsible for corporate projects for blue-chip clients including Hewlett Packard, Motorola and Microsoft. Always active in her community, Lorraine has held several directorship positions on the boards of the Association of Women in Finance B.C., Spinal Cord Injury B.C., and has worked as a volunteer community leader and mentor for the Follow the Leader and Learning to Lead programs at the Minerva Foundation for BC Women.
