Geneviève Grenier

As vice-president, Member Development and Support, Geneviève leads CPA Canada’s work on member engagement, content creation, the design and delivery of high-quality resources, and the operational efficiency of programs and services for members and stakeholders.

Previously, Geneviève was the director, Programs, for CPA Canada, providing leadership to a team of learning design experts in the creation, delivery and ongoing refinement of a portfolio of open enrolment and executive programs. She has also led projects related to learning and development programs at the executive level, including for chief financial officers in the public sector.

Before joining CPA Canada, Geneviève was the senior director, Finance and Technology, for a large division of Rona. In this role, she participated in the negotiation and due diligence process for the sale and acquisition of multiple mid- to large-sized organizations, the transition from publicly traded to private ownership, and the deployment of a business intelligence technology across the organization. Geneviève also held senior finance roles in consumer product goods (CPGs) and pharmaceutical organizations such as Conagra Foods, Taro Pharmaceuticals and Janssen-Ortho (J&J).

Geneviève was an associate professor at Ryerson University and the Royal Military College, delivering management accounting courses and preparing candidates to obtain their accounting designation.

Today, Geneviève volunteers with various boards and associations. In 2019, she was re-elected as the French Catholic School Trustee for Peel Region. Prior to becoming trustee, she held the role of vice-chair for six years and chair of the audit committee for eight years. Geneviève currently sits on the audit committee for the City of Vaughan.
