Gale Evans, CPA, CMA, C.Dir.

Education and qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science (honours biology), University of Toronto
  • Diploma in Business and Finance, Sheridan College
  • Certified Management Accountant, 1985
  • Chartered Director, 2008

Gale is responsible for planning and directing CPA Canada’s operations in four areas: human resources, information technology, language services and office services.

Prior to joining CPA Canada, she spent 12 years with the Society of Management Accountants of Canada (CMA Canada) as controller, and then vice-president of Corporate Services including responsibility for the Finance function. This role required her to interact in a multijurisdictional environment with CMA organizations in 10 provinces and two territories.

Prior to joining CMA Canada, Gale had a wide range of for-profit experience in the oil and gas, insurance, education, entertainment and employee-assistance sectors. She is a past board member of the Alzheimer Society of Ontario and the Canadian Academic Accounting Association.
