Education and qualifications Bachelor of Science (honours biology), University of Toronto Diploma in Business and Finance, Sheridan College Certified Management Accountant, 1985 Chartered Director, 2008 In her role as vice-president, Administration, Gale is responsible for formulating and implementing strategic direction for, and oversight to, four diverse teams: human resources, information technology, language services and office services. Gale champions the build of a constructive high-performance and innovative organization that can respond appropriately to an evolving and dynamic business environment. Her teams pursue excellence with a focus on customer service as they assist the business in delivering on the value proposition for CPA Canada’s members. Prior to joining CPA Canada, she spent 12 years with the Society of Management Accountants of Canada (CMA Canada) as controller, and then as vice-president of Corporate Services. In 2011, Gale became a member of the CMA Canada leadership team that championed the achievement of the gold trophy in Quality from Excellence Canada. Gale also brings to this role a wide range of for-profit experience in the oil and gas, insurance, education, entertainment and employee-assistance industries. She is also a past board member of the Alzheimer Society of Ontario and the Canadian Academic Accounting Association.
