Pivot named Best Magazine, captures six National Magazine Awards: B2B

The impressive haul marks the year anniversary of the launch of Pivot, CPA Canada’s flagship publication. Beyond the top award for best magazine, Pivot was also recognized for art direction, writing, photography and illustration.

Pivot, the flagship publication of Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada (CPA Canada), won an impressive six gold awards, including Best Magazine, at the inaugural National Magazine Awards: B2B ceremony on May 29, 2019.

Launched just over a year ago in May 2018, the magazine’s name conveys the agility and flexibility individuals and businesses need to thrive in today’s rapidly evolving business environment. Pivot presents comprehensive and detailed articles and items tailored to meet the interests of CPA Canada’s more than 217,000 members.

Pivot is bold, authoritative, inquisitive and entertaining,” says Heather Whyte, publisher and senior vice-president, marketing communications and public affairs at CPA Canada. “Receiving the Best Magazine award in our first year of operation validates our belief that Canadian business leaders are inspired by stories about managing rapid change and implementing innovative practices that drive economic and social benefits.”
