Launch of CPA Canada's Trinidad and Tobago chapter

CPA Canada is pleased to now have a chapter in Trinidad and Tobago. The new chapter is committed to representing the interests of CPA members through learning and networking opportunities.

In addition to the Trinidad and Tobago chapter, CPA Canada has two other chapters in the Caribbean – Barbados and Cayman Islands.

Welcome message from the chapter chair

I am honoured to work with the inaugural CPA Trinidad and Tobago chapter’s board to help our members and students accomplish their professional goals. The board’s deep and diverse experience will enable us to address the similarly broad perspectives of our membership.

I encourage you to engage with us. Tell us how your professional body can help enrich your career.

In its initial year, the board has decided to focus on two major items; first, achieving an understanding of the needs of our members, and second, our members’ professional development. A short, confidential esurvey will be issued to members by CPA Canada. I urge you to complete it, as it will inform our activities. We are also focusing on areas of professional development beyond IFRS, including such topics as ethics, technology and governance.

Email me if you would like me to assist you or answer your questions.

Special gratitude to chapter board member Carla Dubé for engaging with others from our booth during the breaks.
