Earn the Advanced Certificate in Accounting and Finance: Philippines

Earn the ACAF to get the technical, job-ready skills demanded by top employers in Canada.

The ACAF program is being discontinued. We are working with the post-secondary institutions for a smooth winddown of ACAF that ensures students are enabled to finish the program before one of the final ACAF National Examinations on January 31, 2020 or January 29, 2021, or transition to an alternative course of study. Why get an Advanced Certificate in Accounting and Finance (ACAF)?

Internationally trained accountants often find that Canadian employers are unfamiliar with their credentials. The ACAF is the most efficient way to secure your first accounting job in Canada by helping employers immediately recognize your skills. Earning the ACAF credential prior to coming to Canada can facilitate your entry into the Canadian workforce.

Did you know? Internationally trained accountants are eligible for exemptions from entry and technical courses, and you may be able to complete the ACAF in as little as six months.

Adapt your skills

CPA Canada is one of the country’s leading business and accounting educators, and the ACAF was designed to meet the needs of today’s business marketplace. Developed in consultation with leading Canadian employers, the program trains you for success in:

  • financial accounting
  • management control
  • taxation
  • accounting information systems
  • assurance
  • … and more

We ensure certificate holders possess the required level of applied technical and soft skills that employers need and value.

Realize your career goals

ACAF holders stand out in the world of accounting and finance with skills that are elevated to a national standard. It’s what many hiring managers and recruiters are seeking. With the ACAF on your resumé, you could become the preferred choice for accounting and finance positions and promotions throughout your career.

  • work in any sector, whether business, not-for-profit, government or at an accounting and finance firm
  • use your skills in an industry you’re passionate about – whether you are interested in sports, entertainment, finance, technology or travel
