CPA Canada has developed a set of national standards required for post-secondary institutions (PSIs) to deliver the Advanced Certificate in Accounting and Finance (ACAF) program and applied courses.
CPA Canada Accreditation Standards for the ACAF Program and Applied Courses features the following standards that allow for the accreditation of both the ACAF program and its courses:
Each provincial/regional CPA body is responsible for the accreditation of ACAF programs and applied courses in their province or region, and can set standards higher than the national standard. PSIs should refer to the regulations of their provincial/regional CPA body for the specific standards they must meet.
The ACAF Knowledge Mapping tool provides detailed information on the learning objectives and related skills and knowledge that must be sufficiently covered in each ACAF applied course.
