CPA Canada seeks new vice-chair

CPA Canada is seeking a vice-chair for its Board of Directors to oversee the forward-looking agenda of the national CPA organization. The nomination and application period is now open.

In accordance with CPA Canada by-laws, the Nominating and Governance Committee has initiated a search for a vice-chair of the CPA Canada board of directors. The new vice-chair will take office for the two-year period commencing immediately following the annual general meeting in September 2017 and ending immediately after the annual general meeting in September 2019.

Following this term, the vice-chair may become a nominee for board chair for the two-year period commencing immediately following the annual general meeting in September 2019. Succession is not automatic, but customarily the vice-chair does become a candidate for chair. As such, candidates who can make a four-year commitment are sought.

All nominations/applications for this position are due by February 28, 2017.

For the position requirements, as well as the nomination and application process, the following documents are provided in the application package:

  • the official call for nominations/applications (including submission process)
  • the vice-chair position description
  • the related chair position
  • the candidate application form (required)
