In light of CPA Canada’s expanding tax education activities, we are pleased to welcome Wallace Howick, in the new role of special advisor.

Wally is an FCPA, FCA and a U.S. CPA with over 30 years of experience providing advice to a wide range of both Canadian and foreign-based clients. He also has a long history working with CPA Canada. He served as secretary and technical adviser to the CBA-CPA Canada Joint Committee on Taxation for three years. He also designed and taught professional development programs for CPA Canada and several provincial institutes, including 12 years on the faculty of the In-Depth Tax Course.

In his new role, Wally is working with Vivian Leung, program director — tax education, on a variety of initiatives to enrich, modernize and extend the range and delivery of CPA Canada’s tax educational offerings. He will also take part in our broader tax policy advocacy activities.

With Wally’s experience and insights, we look forward to his contributions to the continuing improvement of tax learning at CPA Canada.

If you have ideas or comments on CPA Canada’s tax education initiatives, email Vivian Leung.
