Award for excellence in tax practice and education: Hats off to our latest winner!

Read about an outstanding member: the 2011 winner of the Award for Excellence in Income Tax Practice and Education.

Each year at the National Conference on Income Taxes, CICA announces the winner of the Award for Excellence in Income Tax Practice and Education. This annual award is presented to a professional who exemplifies the highest qualities of a tax leader in Canada through public practice, corporate or other organizational work, and through the dissemination of tax education.

We’re pleased to bestow the 2011 award to Bruce Ball, FCA, who is the national tax partner of BDO Canada LLP and a tremendous contributor to our work at CICA.

Bruce contributes an exceptional amount of time and energy to our various tax committees as chair of the Joint Committee on Taxation of the CBA and CICA and as a member of the Tax Education Task Force, Tax Courses Committee and CICA Tax Policy Committee. He has also served as faculty for various CICA tax courses and learning events.

Congratulations on this achievement, Bruce!
