Poll of the month: retirement readiness — November 2015

According to our latest reader poll, three-quarters of respondents feel “on track” with their retirement plans.

Nearly three-quarters of you feel “on track” with your retirement plans, although the type of plans you have are all over the map, our latest reader poll finds. About four in 10 have a defined contribution company pension, three in 10 have a defined benefit plan or no employer provided pension, respectively; 90% of you also have an RRSP. The group you fall into depends greatly on the sector you work in. Interestingly, while 100% of those who work in the not-for-profit sector or academe have a company pension of some kind, they are the least likely to feel “on track” for retirement (57%).
