Which report are you referring to when you state that GS predicts the Philippines to be the second-largest economy in Asia? Most predictions (including GS, PwC and HSBC, based on a quick Google search) place China, Japan, India, Korea and Vietnam ahead of it by 2050. The Philippines’ current largest export is its migrant workers. How will the economy transform from its current state to a service- and export-based one? This piece seems like a paid advertisement for the Philippines’ investment board.
