CPA Canada announces winners in innovation award competition

Two outstanding teams tied for top honours in the 2015 Awards of Excellence in Public Sector Financial Management, Innovation category. Learn more about their award-winning work.

The Innovation Award honours individuals whose groundbreaking work has made a significant contribution to financial management within the Government of Canada.

The field of nominees was very competitive in 2015; in the end, the selection committee determined a tie between the Deputy Chief Financial Officers’ Council and an intra-departmental Environment Canada team.

Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada (CPA Canada) applauds all nominees, finalists and winners. Their work helps set the bar for leadership and innovation in public sector finance.




CPA Canada honoured the Deputy Chief Financial Officers’ (DCFO) Council with a 2015 Award of Excellence in Public Sector Financial Management: – Innovation, for its holistic approach to delivery of financial management services.

CPA Canada honoured Environment Canada with a 2015 Award of Excellence in Public Sector Financial Management: – Innovation, for its integrated control framework for reporting environmental liabilities related to contaminated sites.
