The Accounting Standards Board (AcSB) established the IFRS Discussion Group as a public forum. We want to make sure Canadian stakeholders can attend, no matter your availability and budgets. We are once again livestreaming our upcoming meeting on October 16 in Winnipeg.

More about the ACSB and the IFRS discussion group

The AcSB is an independent body with the authority to establish accounting standards for use by all Canadian entities outside the public sector.

We serve the public interest by establishing standards for financial reporting by all Canadian private sector entities and by contributing to the development of internationally accepted financial reporting standards.

The IFRS Discussion Group:

  • raises awareness in Canada of issues arising from the application of IFRS standards as issued by the International Accounting Standards Board (IASB)
  • makes recommendations, when appropriate, to the AcSB to refer particular issues to the IASB or IFRS Interpretations Committee
