Troy Elyea

Troy joined the Transfer Pricing group at PricewaterhouseCoopers in Toronto in May 2004. Prior to joining PricewaterhouseCoopers, he worked for four years in the transfer pricing practice of a national public accounting firm and for one year as an economic consultant for a foreign-based public policy think tank.

With more than 17 years of transfer pricing experience, Troy has worked on transfer pricing projects for a broad variety of clients in the consumer and industrial products, automotive, information technology and telecommunications industries. Troy has assisted clients in cross-border tax planning and contemporaneous documentation studies for the transfer pricing of tangible goods transactions, management services and royalties.

Troy’s dispute resolution experience includes audit defence, advanced pricing arrangements, appeals, competent authority assistance and guiding clients through the arbitration process.

He contributed to the development and execution of CPA Canada’s Part I elearning transfer pricing course and was a lecturer and tutorial leader for CPA Canada’s Part II in-residence transfer pricing course.

Troy holds a Master of Arts in Business Economics degree and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics degree from Wilfrid Laurier University.
