Trevor Pope

As a senior manager with Deloitte, Trevor has over 30 years of experience in indirect tax, including over 5 years with UK customs and excise. Trevor is highly experienced in indirect tax needs assessments for the public sector, including strategic indirect tax planning and the resultant systems/process execution.

As the public sector lead consultant, Trevor helps organizations ensure that they are allocating the right amount of tax to their activities for capturing their input tax credits and rebates; Trevor employs clarity, innovation, and conservatism in his recommendations. Indeed, Trevor ensures public sector clients are basing their indirect tax positions on established Canada Revenue Agency positions, and he leverages leading-edge analytic-based engines and methodologies in his approach.

Trevor holds a B.Sc. (Hons.), Polytechnic of the Southbank London (UK)

His public sector expertise includes: municipal governments; provincial governments; colleges and universities; hospitals; school authorities, both public and private; charities and non-profit organizations.

Trevor is also a former director of the Markham Soccer Club, a non-profit organization that provides soccer programs for over 3,000 residents of Markham, Ontario.
