Trevor McCormick

Trevor is an Audit Principal – Financial Audit with the Office of the Auditor General of Newfoundland and Labrador.  He has been with the Office for more than 24 years and has overseen numerous large and complex financial and performance audits.  His current audit portfolio includes the Public Accounts of the Province of Newfoundland and Labrador.

He is a member of the Canadian Council of Legislative Auditors (CCOLA) Information Technology Audit Committee and is a former member, Vice-Chair and Chair of the CCOLA Training Oversight Committee for Financial Statements.

He currently serves on the Chartered Professional Accountants of Newfoundland and Labrador (CPA NL) board, and sits on the Regulatory Committee, Complaints Authorization Committee and the Member Recognition/FCPA committee.  He also served on a joint sub-committee supporting the merger of the three professional accounting bodies in the province. Trevor previously served on various legacy body committees and boards at the provincial, regional, and national levels.  At the provincial level he has executive experience having served as Chair, Vice-chair and Secretary/Registrar.  

Trevor currently serves on the Audit Evidence Advisory Group with the Auditing and Assurance Standards Board (AASB) of Canada.

In 2011, Trevor was bestowed with a Fellowship.
