Travis Leppky
With close to 20 years' experience in public accounting, Travis has worked extensively with clients in both the public and private sectors. In his role as national IS audit partner for BDO Canada LLP, Travis leads the firm’s Information Systems Audit practice. He is also responsible for the firm’s audits of internal control over financial reporting. As such, he monitors the activities of the various standard setting and regulatory bodies with respect to information systems audits, internal control audits or audits of service organizations. Travis determines the impact of new standards and regulatory pronouncements on BDO and its clients, develops the firm’s position with respect to such matters and develops training programs and technical resources regarding new pronouncements.
Travis is a frequent speaker before business and professional groups on topics ranging from information security to the implications for auditors and management regarding internal control rule-making initiatives. He is also a former member of the Audit and Assurance Standards Board and a former board member of the Winnipeg Chapter of the Information Systems Audit and Control Association.
