Terry Lockhart

A CPA, CGA, Terry is currently serving as director of finance and corporate services for Compute Canada, a non-profit corporation with more than 200 team members. Compute Canada leads the development and operations of Canada’s national advanced research computing platform, in partnership with the Canada Foundation for Innovation (CFI) and 38 post-secondary research institutions. Through a recent leadership transition for the organization, Terry served as acting president and CEO.

Prior to joining Compute Canada, Terry served in finance leadership roles in two university-based research institutes. He was the first CFO for the Global Institute of Food Security at the University of Saskatchewan, and the associate director, finance, at the Hotchkiss Brain Institute at the University of Calgary. He also spent several years managing the financial operations of several sport and recreation units at the University of Calgary, including the Olympic Oval, Campus Recreation, U of C Sport Medicine and U of C varsity athletics. Terry’s varied experiences include multiple change management environments, giving him a strong appreciation for the importance of managing the pace and communications of organizational changes.
