Sunny Freeman

Sunny is the Managing Editor of The Canadian Press (CP), overseeing the day-to-day operations of a 180-person newsroom for CP's 800+ clients. She led coverage of the 2020 National Newspaper Award-winning breaking news story – the Nova Scotia shooting. She managed the successful transition to a work-from-home newsroom and back to a hybrid office model. 

Previously, Sunny was the Business Editor at CP and a business reporter at The Financial Post, The Toronto Star, The Huffington Post Canada and The Canadian Press.
