Stephen McCourt

Stephen’s focus is on clients with public accountability. Approximately 50 per cent of his client base is in the non-profit organization (NPO) sector. Stephen draws on his experience in industry to bring practical, service-focused results to his clients. He has served on numerous boards, currently including that of Cystic Fibrosis Canada. Stephen also spent two years working as a manager of finance and human resources at Queen’s university. These experiences have allowed him to contribute a wealth of knowledge to his numerous NPO clients.

Stephen obtained his undergraduate and graduate degrees from Brock University. He is a CPA, CA, having obtained his designation in 1999. He became a partner at RSM Canada (previously Collins Barrow) in 2008. In order to add more value to his board relationships, Stephen completed the Institute of Corporate Directors NFP program. He has gained respect in the marketplace for his technical and practical approach, as evidenced by his experience as a practice inspector and marker for CPA Ontario, a lecturer at Brock university and a presenter at conferences for the IASeminars, Infonex, CPA Canada and CPA Ontario.
