Stephanie Prior

Stephanie has over 23 years of experience as a corporate finance and strategy advisor and business leader. She joined EY UK&I directly from industry and investment banking in 2014 and moved back to Canada in 2017 to build our Canadian EY Parthenon Practice. Stephanie advises clients across a number of sectors including natural resources, power & utilities, agriculture, chemicals, transportation and technology. A champion for Long Term Value, and also for Canada’s role in the Energy Transition, she is working with companies, special interest groups and industry players to develop and align stakeholder-driven strategies. By combining technical expertise with international corporate strategy, finance, M&A&D experience Stephanie provides proven, practical strategic advice to clients.

Stephanie started her career as a geologist and engineer exploring for gold and diamonds in Canada’s Arctic then re-focused on energy. She has worked extensively in Western Canada, the US, the UK, Europe, the Nordics, Africa and Asia. In April 2020, the Oil & Gas Council named Stephanie one of the top 275 Female Executives and Influencers Globally. She works seamlessly with our Canadian Climate Change and Sustainability Practice to help clients integrate ESG and Corporate Finance, and leads multi-disciplinary engagements leveraging EY’s deep economic modeling, people, tax, risk and financial advisory capabilities.

Prior to becoming an advisor, Stephanie ran a Canadian software company through a period of rapid growth and market expansion. As both an Investment Banker and Corporate Development Leader she has successfully executed multiple transactions valued in excess of US$4.5Billion, as well as advising on the Nutrien (Agrium-Potash Corporation) merger integration.
