Sophie Yelle

Sophie is the associate chief accountant at the Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF). She is an active member of the Canadian Securities Administrators’ Chief Accountants Committee which has the objective to improve, coordinate and harmonize regulation of the Canadian capital markets.

As a senior analyst, Sophie is a specialized resource on matters related to accounting standards, financial reporting and auditing standards. She is involved in the development and implementation of guidance and regulations related to securities distributions and ongoing requirements for reporting issuers in Quebec. Sophie is also a member of the Accounting Standard Board’s Crypto-Asset Working Group and stands on the AMF’s Financial Reporting Advisory Committee.

Before joining the AMF, Sophie worked nearly 16 years as an external auditor, notably in the financial institution’s sector.
