Sally Garner

Sally is the executive director of planning and budget at the University of Toronto (U of T). In this role she is responsible for overseeing the university’s $2.1 billion operating budget. Her role includes enrollment management for the university’s 85,000 students as well as providing budget planning support, analysis and advice to its 20 faculties and 10 shared service portfolios.

Sally started her accounting career at KPMG in Toronto and has been at the university for over 25 years. Over the past 10 years Sally has led several key initiatives in transforming the university’s approach to budget allocations. U of T has been recognized nationally in the post-secondary community and broader public for its leadership role in this area and Sally has spoken widely on this subject at conferences and universities across Canada.
