Richard Cracknell, CPA, CA

Richard has over 15 years of experience serving a wide variety of nationally and internationally listed entities, privately held businesses and not-for-profit organizations in the areas of accounting and assurance. He acts as an independent technical advisor and, as a member of BDO's Toronto quality assurance team, advises partners and staff on the impact of new accounting standards and consults on accounting, financial reporting and regulatory issues facing both private and publicly traded entities.

Richard is experienced with clients who report under International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), accounting standards for private enterprises (ASPE), accounting standards for not-for-profit organizations (NFP) and U.S. generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and has significant experience with public offerings and regulatory filing requirements.

Richard is also involved in the development and instruction of internal and external training programs and materials dealing with complex accounting issues and securities regulations and is a regular speaker and contributor to BDO’s public company financial reporting updates.
