Peter Nixon, FCPA, FCA, MSc

Peter’s 2012 book Dialogue Gap was rated “one of the best business titles published this century” (SCMP). Peter discovered ”dialogue gap” while sharing best practices from his 2005 book Negotiation, Mastering Business in Asia (both published by John Wiley & Sons) as a speaker, trainer, consultant and coach for thousands of leaders in nearly 60 countries during the last several years.

Following an international audit career with PwC legacy firm Coopers & Lybrand, Peter has spent the last decade helping senior leaders of multi-national companies; global firms; local, state and national governments; charities; and non-governmental organizations (NGO) achieve optimal outcomes through dialogue and negotiation. Improved outcomes include increased revenue and profit, reduced cost, improved governance, talent management, service, strategy and effectiveness.

Peter’s Dialogue Suite includes practical tools, methodologies and workshops designed to enable and inspire leaders to achieve optimal outcomes. Peter shares his Dialogue Suite personally through speaking, training and advisory work. He also shares his solutions through the many leaders, consultants, trainers and coaches he has trained and certified around the world. In addition to the above, Peter sits on a number of meaningful boards in both Canada and Hong Kong.

Born and raised in Montreal, Peter transferred to Geneva prior to moving to Hong Kong in 1989. He now divides his time between homes in Hong Kong and Canada. Peter’s mantra, “The Solution is in the Dialogue,” has become a constant refrain with his clients. His live sessions are often rated as the best people have ever attended.

Peter has collected various academic recognitions from Bishop’s University, McGill University, University of Alberta, University of Leicester, Harvard University and INSEAD. He is a showcase speaker for World Presidents’ Organization and Young Presidents’ Organization (WPO-YPO) and speaks to audiences from the Entrepreneurs’ Organization (EO), the University of Hong Kong, London Business School, Columbia Global MBA-EMBA, McGill University, Royal Roads, Singapore Institute of Management, Hong Kong Management Association and the Razak School of Government.

When not busy with clients and research Peter enjoys family and community endeavours in the rural settings of Discovery Bay (Hong Kong), Mt. Tremblant and Lac Des Iles (Quebec).
