Pat Foran

Pat Foran is an award-winning journalist who has worked for three different CTV affiliates since 1986. Currently, Pat is the host of a popular segment on CTV Toronto called Consumer Alert, and his stories are seen on CTV stations across Canada. He has helped consumers recover millions of dollars, exposed scams, warned about unsafe products and passed on countless money-saving tips to the public. Prior to working as a consumer reporter, Pat covered the Paul Bernardo trial and interviewed well-known people such as Sarah Ferguson and comedian John Candy.  He is the author of four best-selling Canadian finance books and is passionate about financial literacy. His latest book, The Smart, Savvy Young Consumer, is designed to help young people become more financially literate. Pat recently sat on the federal government's National Steering Committee on Financial Literacy and has also worked with World Vision and The Christian Children's Fund of Canada to help children in Uganda and Nicaragua.
