Obed is a partner at Avail CPA specializing in digital adoption and cloud accounting. He founded Maxim Management, one of Canada's first virtual CPA firms. That firm was acquired by Avail in 2018. He also founded the firm’s startup CliQue Advisor – a fintech used to proactively improve people’s finances. This technology has received recognition and funding from Alberta Innovates and the National Research Council. He is a member of CPA Canada’s Data Governance Committee. His work today focuses on using technology to make accounting more valuable and improve people's financial health.
