Monica Murray, CPA, CA

Monica is a self-proclaimed "right-leaning left-brain multipotentialite." In her world, change is a good thing.

The first two decades of Monica's professional career have navigated her through the waters of finance, accounting, human resources, executive leadership, board work and entrepreneurship. As a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA), she has worked with "big four" public practice firms and international publicly traded companies, spent seven years as the CEO of an executive search firm, and has consulted for several startup, small and mid-sized companies.

Her current role as principal, Diversity & Inclusion for CPA Canada is her opportunity to combine her extensive knowledge of the accounting profession and her passion for supporting diversity and women in business and leadership.

Monica has continually given back through years of active participation with various boards and committees. She is currently involved as a board member with the Forum for Women Entrepreneurs, supporting Canadian women entrepreneurs to become wildly successful.

Having a young teenage daughter inspires Monica to help organizations achieve gender equality — and eventually work herself out of a diversity job.
