Micheline Renault

Micheline Renault, is a Professor in the Department of Accounting Sciences at the École des sciences de la gestion of the Université du Québec à Montréal (ESG UQAM) and Associate Professor at the TÉLUQ. She teaches in the Executive MBA Program and is in charge of the Specialization in Finance of the Post Graduate Degree in Accounting Practice (CPA). She also works at the international level. With an interest in training technologies, she developed an online course integrating accounting and financial decisions. She is a BOARD member of the ESG Entrepreneurship Centre, and her research interests focus on redefining the role of the accounting expert in launching and growing businesses in the Internet and AI age. Before joining the UQAM, she was an auditor and a business financing specialist with a major Canadian bank.   

Micheline Renault was a trainer at the Ordre des CPA du Québec when the transition to international accounting standards was made and is currently a trainer at the ESG UQAM Development Centre as well as in various entrepreneurial and professional associations. 

An avid music fan, she was a BOARD member of the Montreal Youth Symphony Orchestra (MYSO) and the Opéra Piccola Opera Company. In 2007, she was a finalist for the “Women of Distinction Award – Education” from the Women’s Y Foundation of Montreal and co-received the “Association Involvement” Award from the Association des femmes en finance du Québec (AFFQ).  She is currently the Head of Mission – Tanzania for CPA Without Borders.
