Maureen Buckley

Maureen is the Assistant Deputy Minister and Provincial Controller, Office of the Provincial Controller Division, Treasury Board Secretariat. In this role, Maureen is responsible for maintaining Ontario’s Public Accounts, preparing the Annual Report and Consolidated Financial Statements for the Province, providing accounting and financial management advice to the government and ensuring effective financial systems, control policies and practices are in place.

Maureen worked at Price Waterhouse before joining the Office of the Auditor General as an Audit Manager in 1994. Since then, Maureen has held several leadership positions across the Ontario Public Service, including as Assistant Deputy Minister, Regional and Corporate Services and Chief Administrative Officer supporting the ministries of Citizenship and Immigration, Tourism, Culture and Sport, International Trade and the Ontario Women’s Directorate and Ontario Seniors’ Secretariat. Among Maureen’s many accomplishments is her involvement in the development and implementation of the Integrated Financial Information System (IFIS).

Maureen is a Chartered Accountant (CPA, CA) and holds a BA from York University.
