Matt is a vice-president within TD Securities’ Global Energy Investment Banking practice. Matt and the TD team have advised on $8.7 billion in royalty transactions, totalling approximately 16 million royalty acres since May 2014. This includes the $3.3 billion sale of Cenovus’ royalty assets to the Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan, the $2.6 billion secondary offering by Encana of PrairieSky Royalty shares, the $1.7 billion initial public offering (IPO) of PrairieSky Royalty (the largest energy IPO in Canadian history), the approximately $730 million sale of Range Royalty LP to PrairieSky Royalty, the approximately $320 million sale of Penn West royalty assets to Freehold Royalties and the $141 million sale of Lightstream royalty assets to Freehold Royalties.

Matt is a CFA Charterholder and FINRA registered broker, with a BComm, Finance from the Haskayne School of Business at the University of Calgary.
