Marion is the associate chief accountant of the Ontario Securities Commission (OSC). Her responsibilities include lending support internally on addressing policy and operational issues and externally working with bodies that play an important role in promoting a high quality framework for financial reporting in Canada. This covers accounting and auditing matters arising in the administration of the Ontario Securities Act, and involves specialized advisory services to the OSC, its senior management and staff, and market participants.

Marion is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) and Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario. She has over 30 years of experience as an accountant. Born in Montreal, Marion graduated from McGill University with a Bachelor of Commerce and a diploma in public accounting. She articled at KPMG where she obtained her designation. She worked for RBC Financial Group in various capacities for 21 years. Her roles at RBC included CFO Royal Trust, CFO RBC Insurance and chief accountant. Previous to her OSC role, she was director, Strategic Finance Projects on a secondment by RBC to the Canadian Bankers Association.

Marion is also very active in her community. She chairs the Board of Directors of the Canadian Cancer Society’s Ontario Division. She is a past member of the Canadian Cancer Society’s National Board of Directors and past treasurer and past chair of Ontario Division's Finance and Audit Committees. She has prepared tax returns for seniors at free tax clinics and volunteers at the annual "No Limits Conference" for Ontario high school students. Her husband Gary volunteers for the Canadian Cancer Society as a driver. Marion has two children, Jennifer and David.
