Laurent Moons

Laurent started his career at Deloitte in 2002. He worked out of our offices in Brussels, London, Riyadh and, mostly, Montreal, where he advises clients with their Canadian and international VAT needs. Laurent also worked as Global indirect tax manager at a Canadian based global fashion retail company.

Laurent’s clients span several industries, from retail to airlines, from aerospace to manufacturing and technologies. Lately, Laurent has focused his attention on the new Canadian rules applying to non-resident suppliers and marketplaces.

During his career, Laurent assisted several clients with their ERP implementation (SAP, Oracle) or with the implementation of tax engines “bolt-ons” (Vertex). He also advised many of them on improving their supply chain’s indirect tax footprint.

Laurent taught European VAT at Sherbrooke University and is a frequent speaker at various indirect tax forums.
