Laura MacLaughlin

Laura is a principal in the assurance services division of Grant Thornton LLP, with more than 17 years of experience. She is based in the Truro office of the Nova Scotia business unit. Laura provides assurance, business advisory and tax services to a diversified client base of public and private sector clients, including privately held businesses, school boards, health care, not-for-profit, manufacturing and aboriginal organizations.

Laura has a high degree of technical competence in both accounting and auditing and has assisted many clients with accounting standards updates and transitions to new financial reporting frameworks. She has specific advisory experience preparing and assisting clients with business plans, projections, operations and controls review. In addition, Laura has experience with internal accounting, budgeting and due diligence.
