Kathy Butler
MBA
Kathy is a managing director and head at CIBC Capital Markets in British Columbia. Kathy joined CIBC in 1996, and has worked on merger and acquisition advisory mandates and debt and equity financing for clients in the technology, telecom, consumer retail, industrial products and forestry sectors.
Kathy holds an MBA (Honours) from the Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto and a Bachelor of Commerce in Finance (Honours) from the Sauder School of Business at the University of British Columbia. She represented the technology industry on the BC Jobs and Investment Board, and is currently on the Board of Governors for the Business Council of British Columbia and the Working Group on International Financial Services for BC. Kathy is also on the boards of CIBC World Markets Inc., CIBC Children’s Foundation, St. George’s Foundation, and Canuck Place Children’s Hospice, and is a partner of Social Venture Partners Vancouver.
