Kathleen O’Neill

FCPA, FCA

Kathleen is a Chartered Professional Accountant and an experienced corporate director. She is currently a director of Finning International Inc., ARC Resources Limited, Cadillac Fairview Corporation Limited, Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan and Invesco Canada. Kathleen is or has been chair of the Audit Committee of Finning, ARC, Cadillac Fairview and Invesco Canada. She is or has also served on several boards as a member of various committees, including Audit, Human Resources and Compensation; Risk; Health, Safety and Environment; Pension; Chair Selection; and Operational Risk and Governance.

Kathleen was with BMO Bank of Montreal until January 2005, with her last role as executive vice-president, Personal and Commercial Development, and Head of Small Business Banking. Prior to joining BMO Bank of Montreal in 1994, she was a partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Kathleen is a Fellow CPA and has a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Toronto. She is a graduate of the Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD) education program for directors and is an Institute-certified director.

Kathleen has been involved in the not-for-profit sector as a board member of several organizations for the last 30 years. She is past chair of both St Joseph’s Health Centre Foundation and St. Joseph’s Health Centre in Toronto.

Kathleen is on the Ontario Advisory Council for ICD and is a frequent instructor/examiner for the council. She is a member of the Accounting Advisory Committee for the ICD and a member of the CPA Canada’s Corporate Oversight and Governance Board. She was on the Steering Committee on Audit Quality jointly sponsored by CPA Canada and the Canadian Public Accountability Board (CPAB).

In 2014 and 2015, Kathleen was named to Women’s Executive Network’s list, Canada’s Most Powerful Women: Top 100 and in 2009 received the International Alliance for Women World of Difference 100 award.
