John Gotts

John is the leader of PwC’s Canadian Tax Reporting and Strategy practice. John and his team are dedicated to collaborating with clients to transform their tax departments and unleash their full departmental value by improving the effectiveness of their people, processes, data and technology. His experience includes developing tax strategy and technology roadmaps, advising on tax provision process improvements and tax technology enablement, tax data management, document and workflow management solutions and advising on tax risks and controls.

John also specializes in Canadian corporate income tax for public and multinational organizations with a focus on consumer and industrial products. He is experienced in cross-border tax planning, acquisitions and divestitures and corporate reorganizations.

As an educator and trainer, John has developed and delivered tax courses internally and externally, and facilitated the In-depth Tax Course. He speaks regularly at events for financial and tax executives regarding the benefits of transforming tax.

John attained his Bachelor of Accounting degree from Brock University.
