Jodi Dueck-Read, PhD is currently the Senior Research Assistant with the Canadian Financial Diaries Project, a 5-year project to understand the financial lives of low and moderate-income earners. In this role she meets weekly with participants to record their finances and track participant well-being. She is also an instructor of Conflict Resolution Studies at Menno Simons College in Winnipeg.

Prior to working in Manitoba, she headed an income generation program in Santa Cruz, Bolivia and coordinated peacebuilding efforts with Mennonite Central Committee at the U.S.-Mexico border. In her spare time, she tracks her family’s finances, reads dystopian novels, advocates for just policies at the U.S.-Mexico border and plays Lego with her toddler.
