Jim Day. CPA

Jim is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CA) and the director of Client Support Services at Ryan, North America’s largest independent commodity tax consulting firm, where he advises a broad range of clients on all aspects of federal and provincial sales taxes in Canada. In his role as director, Jim is responsible for overseeing the delivery of professional services to clients throughout North America and monitoring the evolution of commodity tax legislation and administrative policy. Jim is also editor of many of the firm’s publications, including Value-Added Taxation in Canada: GST, HST, and QST, 5th Edition (published by Wolters Kluwer). Jim has made numerous presentations on sales tax subjects to clients, professional groups and industry associations, and has been a speaker at the annual CPA Canada Commodity Tax Symposium on several occasions.
